Ramadan’s distinguished career, spanning more than two decades, positions him as a formidable presence in the realms of global health, development leadership, and the strategic architecture of innovation ecosystems. He serves as the driving force behind the conception and expert stewardship of complex global health, development, and innovation initiatives, spanning five continents. His remarkable portfolio boasts programs and ventures valued at over $3 billion, each leaving an indelible and transformative mark on the lives of millions across the globe. Ramadan’s extensive networks stretch across the breadth of the US innovation ecosystem, with a special emphasis on the dynamic West Coast. In his advisory capacity, he collaborates closely with key players within innovation hubs, venture capital powerhouses, world-class academic and research institutions, as well as pioneering startups and established corporations.
While Ramadan’s work is global in its impact and outreach, he uniquely focuses on the MENA region, particularly among the GCC member states. Ramadan takes an active role in spearheading and supporting global health and development innovation initiatives and high-level strategies within government circles. His strategic advisory role and impact extend to close collaboration with prestigious international development agencies and esteemed foundations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Global Health Innovation Labs and Fund under Gates Ventures in Seattle, International Medical Corps with headquarters in Los Angeles, Washington DC, and London, the World Health Organization, CARE International across the USA, Canada, Australia, and the EU, Oxfam on a global scale, the World Innovation Summit for Health by Qatar Foundation, Washington Global Health Alliance in Seattle, the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation in Los Angeles, Open Water Internet, Inc. in Silicon Valley, renowned for its portable, wearable medical imaging technology and therapeutics, and many more world class entities.
Notably, Ramadan, in his strategic advisory capacity at the Pandemic Action Network, has taken the initiative to establish and lead the MENA Global Health and Climate Change Working Group. This group is dedicated to fostering collaboration and coordination among crucial stakeholders, including governmental bodies, national research institutes, regional development banks, impact funds, international foundations, key multilateral agencies, and other relevant stakeholders. The primary objectives of this collective effort are to enhance responses to outbreaks, proactively prevent future pandemics, and mitigate the impact of climate change through innovative and collaborative approaches.
Ramadan’s academic journey commenced with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Birzeit University in Palestine. He continued his educational odyssey with distinction, achieving a Master’s in Public Health and earning a Graduate Certificate in Human Rights from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. In 2013, in honor of his exceptional contributions, he was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the World NGO Day, a testament to his outstanding career trajectory.

AJYAL is a leading firm in the MENA/GCC region, aiming to create a thriving ecosystem of investors, academic entrepreneurs, research institutes and industry experts, where startups can grow, succeed, and make a positive impact on their own society and globally.
Mr. ALHAJRI has over 23 years of experience in the investment industry, and has worked with a variety of companies, from early stage to large, established companies. He is passionate about helping entrepreneurs build successful businesses and is committed to providing them with the resources and support they need to succeed.
Mr. ALHAJRI is a strong believer in the power of innovation to create economic growth and opportunity. He is committed to investing in companies that are developing new technologies and solutions that have the potential to make a positive impact on the world.
Prior to that, Mr. ALHAJRI was responsible for the performance of the development projects functions and reports on business operations, financial performance, and risk and compliance and ensures the sound implementation of corporate governance. In line with the wider Qatar foreign aid strategy, he was overseeing the projects including the preparation for potential disasters, implementation of humanitarian aid interventions and post-disaster recovery management and identify required funds. Also, He was managing development projects with annual spent 0.7 – 1.0 billion USD for more than 90 projects in 50 countries.
From 2000 to 2015, Mr. ALHAJRI came with more than fifteen years of experience in oil sector, where he worked with national and international organizations, handle many position such as investment Manager where he was lead team for due diligence works and technical evaluations, operations activities, also Business Support Manager where he was responsible to assure a strong link to develop and implement new strategic objectives and business improvement programs between legal, commercial, procurement & contracts, finance, and operations projects.
Mr. ALHAJRI holds an Executive MBA from the HEC Paris since 2013, also certificated leadership from Harvard Business School, and holds bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineer since 2000 from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
Ece is an entrepreneurship expert with a background as an entrepreneur. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bilkent University and an MBA degree from Middle East Technical University. She has experience in planning and running accelerator programs, mentoring programs, and mentors’ training within Turkey and the region. Her previous positions include Director of Entrepreneurship at ODTÜ TEKNOKENT and Project Leader at SDG Impact Accelerator. Currently, she is working with scale-ups to finetune their growth strategy.
Cihangir Karabıyık is an attorney at law, and a partner at Karabıyık Attorneys at Law which was established in 2010, and is currently composed of five attorneys at law. He is a graduate of Gazi University, and holds a master’s degree in law from Hacettepe University. He has experience in establishment of companies, creating joint ventures, negotiating mergers and acquisitions, share purchases, public tenders, direct foreign investments, legal due diligence, civil litigation, settlement, arbitration, and expropriation negotiations.
